Marc Harroo

Marc Harroo is currently pursuing a Master’s in Music Education at the Univ. of MN Duluth. Marc recently received a Musicale Matinee scholarship award and will be performing at their 2021 spring recital. Matinee Musicale has been a presenter of chamber music in Duluth for over a century, bringing world-class musicians here to perform and teach. Marc will also be featured in concertmaster solos in UMD’s orchestral repertoire this semester. Here is a link to one of Marc's recent UMD performances of Romance, Op. 29 by Amy Beach. Marc hails from St. Joseph, Trinidad and Tobago where he studied Violin Performance at UTT – University of Trinidad and Tobago. He spent seven years as the Concert Master at the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Trinidad and Tobago and eight years as the Concert Master of the TTYP - Trinidad and Tobago Youth Philharmonic. We are thrilled to have Marc as one of our instructors here at the Hamlin Music Academy.
