Fall 2016 Newsletter

Summer was spectacular! The weather was wonderful and so was the progress of our students. Congratulations to all for accomplishments gained!

Hamlin Music students enjoyed performing on the outdoor stage at Spirit Valley Days. It was a relaxed atmosphere with lots of community support. The day was topped off with a ride in the parade on the HMA parade float.  We are tremendously proud of the energetic group of young musicians who participated.

There are some famous people among us! Watch Fox 21 Antenna TV  (21.2 or Charter Channel 198)  and you may see yourself or one of your fellow HMA performers in a Hamlin Music TV commercial. You can also view the commercial on our Hamlin Music Academy Facebook Page. Check it out and share it with your friends!

We'd like to welcome Brian Langlee to Hamlin Music. Brian is a Denfeld graduate and completing his bachelor’s degree in music education-instrument at the University of Wisconsin - Superior and plans to remain in the Duluth area.  He was lead trumpet at UWS, has conducted the UWS symphonic band in concert and performed in ensemble groups in the area and pre-concert DSSO performances.   Brian enjoys people and we are fortunate to have his talent added to our great teaching staff.

Our fall teachers include: Andy – guitar; Nick – guitar, mandolin; Cullen – drums; Kathleen - piano; RaeAnn – piano, theory; Brian – trumpet; Samantha – violin, viola, cello; Matt –trombone and Tom - guitar.

Hamlin Music is 26 years old! It's hard to belive that 26 years ago RaeAnn Hamlin first started teaching music lessons. This soon lead to performing at events and acting as an agent for other musicians and performers and providing entertainment for weddings, private and corporate parties and other events. All of us here at Hamlin Music are looking forward to another fantastic year!
